This is my entry character Raptor for Jadeswolf's contest " Create a Baron".

Raptor is mentaly detached most of the time, in the way that he obsesses over killing, and does not persieve quite the way as other Barons or wolves do.
Barons are made by capturing normal wolves and genetically mutating them into a new, monsterous form. Raptor started out being no different. However, the Society that snared him began to think: What if they could a create a Super-Baron? A creature that was larger, stronger, and far more intelligent? They began constructing new ideas, new objects of mutation; changing the doses, treatments, and methods of their process. They even went so far as to dare combine reptillian DNA with their hapless captive.
It worked.
Raptor was massive; a compleate giant, even by Baron standards. His tongue was serpent-like, his glowing, milky eyes were cold and flat, like a snake's, and his long, curved talons were like that of a great hawk's. But something happened then that the scientists did not intend: Raptor's intellect had increased as they desired, but he had become smarter than they had realized - the giant Baron had a compleate will of his own...and he was hungry...
Out of the 20 who worked to create him, only one was left to report their success, and to inform that Raptor had escaped. It was covered up, as most things are, when society needs to be kept unaware. The incedent was, overtime, forgotten...and the only known recorder of the memories was the last scientist left alive after Raptor's massacure. He would rather have died then relate the scene he witnessed then.

Raptor's name means "Bird of prey", and it suits him well. He will kill and/or eat anything if he is in a right enough mood - anything living is prey for him, including humans. His index claws are particularly large and curved, like that of a *Velociraptor; it is even rumored among other Barons that Raptor's pelt is red only because it is dyed with blood. Elussive and rarley seen by those who have lived to tell about it, The mega-Baron is usually given a wide berth, by Barons and Vipers alike. Stear clear of him, lest you be eaten alive...

*Velociraptor - A six foot tall preditory dinosaur, a pack-hunter with excteremly high intelligence.
